California Screaming with support from Millie and the Millionaires at The Black Barn
The industrial heaters are on standby and there is just one week to go to get your tickets for the much-anticipated return of California Screaming to The Black Barn. Get them now while you still can. The night will be set off to a swinging start by Millie & The Millionaires playing their eclectic mix of retro Swing, Jazz & Blues, including 30’s swing numbers, jazz classics & downhome blues. Make sure you don't miss it, get your tickets online now.
The band is a combination of the talents of guitarist James Nisbet
and vocalist Sam Blue.
James has been professionally engaged as a musician for many years and has just come off a hugely successful 14 month tour with Lily Allen. As well as Lily, James toured and recorded with such artists as Rod Stewart, Bryan Ferry and Belinda Carlisle.
Sam was once the featured vocalist with Ultravox, recorded with the Streets (on the hugely popular track “dry your eyes mate”) and has a voice that has been described as a tougher, yet as soulful as Paul Rogers. Also sung with Dizzee Rascal, Professor Green, Madness, Kenney Jones and Friends, Paul Carrack, Ya Ya, Cregan & Co. Also had a top 30 hit with the Baywatch theme song 'I'll be Ready' in 2006 for Ministry of Sound.
James and Sam are joined by an explosive backing band who have played with some of the biggest names in the music business. They will be joined onstage by:
Carl Holt on Bass guitar
( Sir Tom Jones, the Pogues, Marc Almond, Archive, Chicane), Johnny Jenkins on drums
(The Streets, Lily Allen, Sigma, Example)
