Black Barn Bios

Select Committee

A beautifully lilting start to the day with a local touch. The band was formed by Arran Ness, music teacher at Enfield Grammar, in honour of a friend who was his musical inspiration but who sadly lost his battle with depression. Select Committee’s primary goal is to celebrate life as well as raise awareness of mental health issues.

Azucar Cubana

Intoxicating early-afternoon rhythms from an outfit who have spent a lifetime playing Latin music and will wow you with that essential Afro-Cuban sound that originated in the streets of eastern Cuba and gave rise to modern salsa – complete with a contemporary edge.

Noise Noir

Time to get heavy (ish).  Slick garage-style four-piece with dramatic hints of blues and soul and defiant vocals who have built a reputation for their intense live shows.

Scott Booth

Edgy, complex finger-picking from an acoustic guitar genius who creates an unforgettable swirling trance-like sound with his solo act.

Ukulele Ska Collective

It might seem an odd combination but it works brilliantly and will have you up your feet singing along.  All your favourite ska tunes performed by an 11-strong ensemble, most on the ukulele, with their unique renderings of everyone from Prince Butler to The Specials.

Wesley Karr and the Automobiles

Rockabilly at its absolute finest, transporting you back in time along with stories (believable or otherwise!) about life on the road with the stars. Back at Livestock following last year’s success.

d’Voxx

And now for something completely different: a totally electronic act courtesy of award-winning producer Paul Borg and the equally prodigious Nino Auricchio, both of whom use only modular instruments to create a unique sound that has been acclaimed at festivals and expos throughout Europe.

Underline The Sky

We are thrilled to welcome one of the country’s most accomplished Indy rock bands with a talent for crafting short, sharp catchy pop-punk nuggets and who are reaping the rewards for years of hard work.  A decade ago they won the national music competition ‘Road To V 2009’, and played the V Festival alongside McFly, The Killers and Dizzee Rascal. Bag your place in the barn quickly!.

Ulysses

Back by popular demand to close the Black Barn. Praised in major publications including Classic Rock Magazine, anyone who missed their supercharged repertoire of glam and psych-influenced pop sheen now get another chance.
